Dr. Patrick Traynor earned his Ph.D. degree in Educational Administration at the University of California, Riverside.  His dissertation analyzes the relationship of three classroom management approaches.  His Bachelor of Science degree was earned at the University of California, Davis and included a double major in Nutrition Science and Entomology.  In his over 15 years of experience in the field of education, Dr. Traynor has been a director of language support services, middle school principal, elementary school principal, middle school assistant principal, elementary vice principal, high school science teacher, elementary school teacher, and Cub Scout master and den leader.  He is currently director of assessment and evaluation in Colton Joint Unified School District in San Bernardino County, California and adjuct faculty at Argosy University teaching research and assessment courses.  Dr. Traynor has also been a Lecturer at the University of California, Riverside in the Graduate School of Education.  He has been published in the areas of classroom management and instructional technology in educational journals including Education, Journal of Instructional Psychology, Learning and Leading with Technology, California Reader, and Education California (EdCal).  His article, “A Scientific Evaluation of Five Classroom Order Strategies” won the Special Merit Award from the journal, Education, in 2002.  He was also awarded the 2006 San Bernardino County Superintendent's Multilingual Award for his contributions to English learners and led his district's English learner program with a fully compliant Coordinated Compliance Review in 2005.

He is married to Dr. Elizabeth Traynor, a board certified neurologist with a private practice in Orange County, California.  Dr. Elizabeth Traynor has given talks to the medical community on Adult Attention Deficit Disorder, Tourette’s Syndrome, strokes, and has served on Saddleback Memorial Hospital’s ethics committee.  The Drs. Traynor have two children in the public school system.
